In the videos, each country speaks directly to Mr. Trump, acknowledging that America is great and should come first while talking up their own country, satirically convincing Trump that “he’ll love it” and suggesting that they come second.
Nutiminn news released a video on Iceland´s behalf, explaining what Donald trump would likely see as the greatness of the country, apologizing for Bjork and Sigurros, denouncing the female president and female Prime Minister as disastrous. Finally asking Mr. Trump to considering “Iceland Second”
The trend started with the Dutch new satire show Zondag met Lubach when the show’s host welcomed Mr. Trump onto the stage of politics and asked him to consider “Holland second” recounting all the things he would likely love about the country.
Many countries have since followed. Here is the initial message for Mr. Trump from Holland released on 23 January, “… Because we realize it’s better for us to get along, we decided to introduce our tiny country to him, in a way that will probably appeal to him the most.” according to the text accompanying the video on YouTube.
And from Switzerland
… and Germany
There are many more, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg and Croatia have all added to the trend, which is rapidly spreading and reaching beyond Eurpe. China has made a version of the video message and with an addition from Iran, explaining the difference between Iran and Iraq and asking he president not to mix the two up and go to war because of an autocorrect on his smartphone, the satire takes the serious undertone to another level.

According to a press release a referendum on the Faroese constitution will be held on 25 April 2018. “The Government is aiming to ensure as broad support as possible for the new Faroese constitution, both in the Parliament and amongst the Faroese people. Leaders of both coalition and opposition parties in the Faroes have been working in recent months to find consensus, based on a proposal that has been under development for several years.”
“My task has been to consolidate a spectrum of views in order to achieve as broad a consensus as possible on this fundamental matter for Faroese society. It is no secret that the political parties have divergent views on certain aspects of the proposed constitution. This has had an influence on the process so far,” said Aksel V. Johannesen, Prime Minister.
The original plan was for the constitution to be put to a referendum before the end of 2017. It’s been delayed for a few months and is now planned for 25 April 2018. “The proposal will first be submitted to the Parliament when it convenes on 29 July for its 2017/18 session. A six-month period will then be required from the time the proposal is adopted in the Parliament until the referendum is held.” according to the press release.
Prime Minister Johannesen went on to say that ”the Faroese constitution will define our identity as a nation and our fundamental rights and duties as a people, including our right to self-determination. It will also be a safeguard against the abuse of power. This will be clearly reflected in the requirement that the Faroese people must be consulted by referendum on questions related to further independence from, or further integration with, Denmark. The same will also be the case in relation to membership in supra-national organisations, such as the EU. The Faroese constitution will move the ultimate decision-making power from the Parliament to the people on such fundamental questions. This will be a triumph for the Faroese people and for democracy in the Faroe Islands”
The Government coalition of the Farioeses Island after the last election on the 1 September 2015 consist of the Social Democratic Party (Javnaðarflokkurin), the Republican Party (Tjóðveldi) and the Progressiv Party (Framsókn) and they formed a coalition agreement in Tórshavn on 14 September, 2015
RT).
Yesterday, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments from the State of Washington v. Donald Trump lawsuit that suspended the President's controversial executive order preventing entry of anyone traveling from seven Muslim-majority countries. Into this stormy climate strides Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, who told Congress on Tuesday that his agency is considering a new vetting measure for US visitors from Trump's banned nation list: forcing them to hand over passwords for their social media accounts.
"We want to get on their social media, with passwords: What do you do, what do you say?" Kelly told the House Homeland Security Committee. "If they don't want to cooperate then you don't come in."
It's just one of many vetting options the DHS is considering specifically for visitors from those countries, but it's far from a new concept. Last June, the agency submitted a proposal to add fields asking for foreign nationals' social media handles on departure and arrival forms, itself a development from the agency's 2015 policy scrutinizing social media posts in the wake of the San Bernardino shooting. But last year's proposal would have just provided travelers the option to disclose their account names. The new DHS measure would require they hand over passwords.
Access to their social media accounts would shed more light on a person than the existing vetting process allows, Kelly told the committee, which amounts to their documentation and background interviews. This is especially threadbare when they visit from "failed states" like Syria and Somalia, where infrastructure and record-keeping have degraded, according to NBC News. But other options they're considering include obtaining financial records of individuals DHS would suspect are on terrorists' payroll.

When you're new to making music, affordable gadgets provide a nice introduction without a hefty investment. As far as tiny synths go, Teenage Engineering's $59 Pocket Operators are an easy sell, but Zeppelin Design Labs may have a compelling option as well. The company's Macchiato Mini Synth starts at just $39 if you're willing to assemble it yourself. If you'd rather not, you can pay $96 for one that's already built. It's also small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
The Macchiato packs everything you need to start making noise quickly. There's a 13-note touch-sensitive keyboard to control the 8-bit synth alongside eight control knobs to make changes to the sound. The mini synth runs on either a 9V battery or can be plugged in with a power supply that will set you back a few extra dollars. Inside, the compact instrument runs on an open-source synthesis library for Arduino which allows users to download updates and flash them to the Macchiato for new sounds. A built-in speaker beams out the audio so you can hear your tunes. Yes, there's also a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones and a MIDI input so you can control the Macchiato with another compatible device.
Zeppelin Design Labs says the DIY kit has an intermediate difficulty, but it's a project that can be completed during the course of an evening. What's more, the company says it's just fine for aspiring musicians as young as 13 to tinker with -- so long as they're supervised, of course. If you're looking to nab one for yourself, both configurations of the Macchiato are available now from the Zeppelin Design Labs website.

A recent study by Glassdoor found that in 2017, 14 of the top 50 jobs in the U.S. are in tech. So it goes without saying that technical skills are in high demand.
But hiring managers say that communication skills are even more important than top tech skills.
I recently attended the Federal Data in Action Summit in D.C. where the White House convened the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine personnel management team, along with a group of hiring managers in the data science and technical fields to discuss topics such as data science education, training and hiring. During a panel where hiring managers, including the CTO of the Environmental Protection Agency, discussed the "Future of Data Science Education and Recruiting," a clear theme emerged as each panelist spoke about the number one skill they look for in candidates.
